Essential reading for anyone who is interested in the Hospital Hill story. In a nutshell: how is it that a lunatic asylum got taken over by a military contractor? Somebody with a more poetic writing style than mine might wish to take that one on. And perhaps the story needs to percolate: ten years from now, how will things be working on Hospital Hill?

Proponents successfully petitioned the state for an amendment of a standing master plan which directed the redevelopment of a former State Hospital in Northampton, Massachusetts.
